Here is how this works in practice. We supply car mounting hardware and the rigging crews to deploy it — suction mounts, hard-points, hostess trays, bonnet and door rigs, crane and arm mounts, and bespoke brackets for picture cars and tracking cars. Our crews engineer each mount for the load, the vibration and the speed it will face, and they rig cameras securely to the modified 4x4 super-jeeps that Iceland's terrain often needs.

Here is the short of it. The country's roads shape the work: the Ring Road runs the full circumference of the island, while Highland F-roads are rough, unpaved, summer-only routes where vibration and surface conditions test each mount, so our riggers specify and check to match. Cold and weather affect mount trust, suction grip and the camera payload, and we plan cold-weather handling into each job. We set up car mounting with the camera and stunt departments, manage road-use permissions, and keep safety central on any moving rig. We staff from the skilled Reykjavík crew base and bring in extra mounting hardware and pros from the UK and mainland Europe under ATA carnet for larger shoots.

The Ring Road circles the island past glaciers, lava fields and coastline, and the dramatic Highlands — reachable only in summer via F-roads, needing 4x4 super-jeeps and modified cars — give remote, otherworldly driving backdrops. Productions including 'The Fate of the Furious' have staged car action in the country. Driving is on the right. The fast-changing subarctic weather is a genuine factor for any mounted-camera shoot.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. The fragile environment, where moss and lava recover only over decades, makes it key to keep cars to set up roads and tracks, with off-road driving prohibited. Filming in covered areas is set up with the Environment Agency of the country. Eligible crew and gear spend can count toward the country's production reimbursement of 25 per cent, rising to 35 per cent for qualifying projects, administered by Film in the country.
